Award-Winning California
Artist & Illustrator

A proud Northern California native and graduate of the California College of the Arts, I’ve built my career around a lifelong passion for visual storytelling and expressive design. As an independent illustrator and designer, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of clients across professional sports, entertainment, consumer products, fairs, festivals, and community events. I thrive on bringing ideas to life with energy, emotion, and a distinctly California sensibility.

My career includes more than a decade serving as the Executive Director of Creative Services for the Golden State Warriors, where I led visual branding initiatives and creative campaigns during some of the franchise’s most transformational years. In 2004, I launched RuffHaus Design Studio, allowing me to expand my creative reach and partner with organizations that value fresh, dynamic, and story-driven artwork.

While I’m deeply rooted in traditional art techniques - especially watercolor - I’ve become equally known for my digitally illustrated sports portraits, which continue to resonate with fans and collectors. In recent years, my work has gained recognition for vibrant, award-winning posters created for fairs, festivals, and special events throughout California. Each piece reflects my belief that illustration can capture not just what something looks like, but how it feels.

Beyond illustration, my diverse portfolio includes logo design, packaging, brand development, and comprehensive visual identity systems. I approach every project, large or small, with the goal of crafting work that is thoughtful, engaging, and built to last.
